An architecture, an installer, and a live implementation
Liberbyte is making OUDEA v0.1 and the first public bytEM implementation available. The OUDEA specification is public under CC BY-ND 4.0 and defines an architecture for independently governed, machine-readable data entities. bytEM brings it into practice through federated infrastructure and the public cities.app index.

Source code and licensing
The bytEM installer is publicly available under AGPL-3.0 and includes Matrix Synapse. The independently developed bytEM core remains in a private repository under an Apache 2.0 licensing model. Source-code access can be requested under a cooperation agreement. A broader open-source release is planned for a later date.
